I actually spent around 4 ½ hours playing around with Wishloop today, so if you’re thinking about buying this lead capture software then read my review first. I go over what this software does, how it does it, and the different options it gives you.

What is Wishloop?

It’s a lead capture software that can help you grow your email subscriber list, run special discount offers, and improve user engagement on your website. The software accomplishes this through full-screen call-to-action pages and pop-ups that are customized for your specific goals. There are four ways to generate leads – Amplify, Engage, Capture, and Share. Each has a truckload of templates for you to chose from.

Amplify

Amplify helps grab the visitor’s attention with a full-screen call-to-action. There are currently 70 templates available. You can choose from email capture, social, promotion, segment, and instafunnels.

The Amplify feature can be used to promote special offers, sweepstakes, or offer limited time discounts. Personally, I like the segmentation feature because it allows you tailor an offer based on how the visitor answers a lead capture question. You can see a few of the segmentation template options below.

Engage

Engage contains pop-up templates that you can use to interact with visitors on your site. As of today, there are 173 templates available in this section, with more being added on a weekly basis. There are several categories of pop-ups to choose from – email capture, social, promotion, niche, and instafunnels.

Some of the opt-ins are 1 step and some are 2 step. This Engage section is very similar to the Amplify section above, but instead of offering full-screen templates the Engage templates look like traditional pop-ups. I took a quick screen capture so you can get an idea of what it looks like.

pop-ups

Capture

Capture contains full page templates that are designed specifically to capture emails from your site’s visitors. There are 119 templates to choose from – each geared at capturing leads for a specific goal. There are email capture, event/webinar, promotion, and instafunnels. Capture looks a lot like Amplify but with different templates and a focus on specifically capturing leads.

Share

Share allows you to overlay your call-to-action box over any other valid domain. You don’t even have to own the domain. This is great for when you want to share great content that belongs to someone else, but also want to capture some leads for your list in the process. You just take the link you want to share, create an opt-in box, and then share the new shortened link that Wishloop creates for you. The reader sees the other site’s content with your lead capture opt-in box.

While this sounds great in theory, the reality is it doesn’t work on all sites. I tested this feature on CNET.com and PCWorld.com and it didn’t work. It seems the big authority sites have taken measures to prevent overlay software from being displayed on their sites. It does work on smaller sites like, TomsGuide.com and you can see an image of what the opt-in box looks like below. Look at the top left.

share option

This feature also has a calendar option, so you can plan when you want the opt-in box to first appear. This way you can share an authority site’s post today and have your lead capture box start appearing on a different day.

Editing with the Builder

No matter which section you chose the template from, you will have a chance to edit it in the Builder. It is easy to use and quite intuitive. You have a variety of options to choose from and using the builder you can crank out some professional lead capture templates that even the top marketing gurus would envy. Take a look at the template I edited below.

Wishloop amplify

Nothing fancy. I just picked one of the standard templates and added a timer and a “Limited Time Offer” in order to get people to act immediately. I also made it harder to click on “No” by editing it to say “No, I don’t like dogs.” I also made the mistake of closing the “Components” window and it was a pain in the butt to get it back.

In any case, after you edit the template to your liking, you have to setup some parameters telling Wishloop where you want the lead capture pages/boxes to appear.

You’ll list your domain and also when you want the lead pages/boxes to come up. You can use time delay (in seconds), exit intent, scrolling percentage, or manual (on click/mouse over). The manual option only lets you use a button as a trigger for the pop-up. You can’t use a link, which is kind of disappointing.

You also have the option to set up a time interval using days so that the same visitor is not shown the opt-in too frequently. This software also gives you the option to show the lead capture on all page or to exclude certain pages.

It also gives you the option to show the opt-in to new visitors, to returning visitors, or to everyone. You can also exclude visitors, coming from certain websites, from seeing your opt-in.

It won’t take you long to understand how this lead generation software works. You can even outsource it using a VA once you get the hang of it.

Final Verdict: Wishloop Is an All Encompassing Lead Generation Platform That Rocks

Wishloop is a lead capture software that is unique in what it offers. It gives you the ability to capture email leads, promote special offers and discounts, and encourages social media sharing.

It goes way beyond what any other lead capture software can do and offers you a ton of fully customizable templates. If you are a looking for a complete lead capture solution, then this is the software for you. The only downside is that it’s a bit pricey. Still, I believe it offers a lot of value for the money. I highly recommend it.
